Mr R. Edwards BVM&S DBR MRCVS (RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Bovine Reproduction)

Veterinary Director

Rob grew up on a family dairy farm and qualified from Edinburgh in 1999. He was awarded the Diploma in Bovine Reproduction from the University of Liverpool in 2012 and is recognised by the RCVS as an Advanced Practitioner (Bovine Reproduction). Rob completed a research Masters degree, at the University of Bristol, on the diagnosis of subclinical lameness lesions in dairy cows. His main interests are dairy and beef animal production medicine. Rob also manages a high health status herd of 120 pure and crossbred Stabiliser beef cows, on the family farm, and is a Multiplier breeder with the Stabiliser Cattle Company. Rob is a member of the British Cattle Veterinary Association and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. Mobile: 07968 997137

Simon Wilson BVSc MRCVS

Veterinary Director

Simon qualified from Liverpool University in 2009 and started working in Llansantffraid soon after. He grew up on a dairy farm in Yorkshire so has always enjoyed farm work. Simon became a director of Cain Vets in September 2017. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, DIY and tending to his ever-growing flock of chickens, geese and turkeys.

James Coope BVSc MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

James began working at Cain Vets in September 2010 after graduating from Liverpool University. He enjoys all aspects of farm veterinary work especially sheep flock health and surgery. Outside of work, his hobbies include fishing, pool, cooking and DIY. James would like to have a flock of sheep however is currently happy with his tropical fish.

Alana Jackson BVSc CertAVP MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Alana qualified from Liverpool University in July 2017 and began working at Cain Vets in December. Alana grew up on a sheep and beef farm in Cheshire, and enjoys both sheep and cattle veterinary work. Alana recently completed her post-graduate cattle Certificate (CertAVP) in 2022. She enjoys training her sheepdogs, hill walking and drinking lots of cups of tea!

Lucy Tubbs BVM&S MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Lucy graduated from Edinburgh University in 2007 and worked for a nearby practice for 13 years as a mixed vet (with a farm bias) before starting at Cain Vets in October 2020. Outside of work, Lucy enjoys travelling, reading, baking and running – to wear of the effects of the baking! She also enjoys helping out on her partner’s dairy farm.

Eleanor Ingram

Approved TB Tester (ATT)

Eleanor is Cain Vets ATT (Approved Tb tester), having passed her assessments in May 2023. Eleanor has grown up in the area, and farms her family sheep and beef farm. Due to the growing Tb workload, Wales changed their legislation in October 2022, to allow the use of ATT's. Eleanor will work alongside the vets, to help complete tests before due dates.
